Concern about the consequences that climate change has caused in recent years, has managed to manifest itself in environmental movements that seek to generate changes at all industrial levels to remedy the damage caused, but industries such as construction have also encountered social difficulties, such as the need to continue creating housing, although in many cities the lack of space for construction is becoming more and more evident. Thus, sustainable proposals arise such as the reuse of buildings in a state of abandonment, such as the Can Masdeu farmhouse, which is an old rural estate located in Barcelona that has a historic building that, despite being in for many years In disuse, in 2001 it was re-inhabited by activists in favor of environmental movements. In order to adapt the building to their needs, they made various modifications, which are sought to be studied in this research, as well as the way of life and organization that residents use to take advantage of the building. Due to the imminent change in user needs over the years, the internal move comes to light as one of the sustainable strategies for optimizing spaces within the building.en_US
