Development of a Business Plan for an Integrated Light Pole Wind Turbine System in Puerto Rico

Abstract

A university team is working on a new product development to reduce the energy costs associated to public illumination. The research deliverables include development of a business plan that proposes a substitution of the current energy source with an eolic alternative. The proposed application could results in savings of approximately $ 100 million annually. Topics within the research include application and market identification, evaluation of alternatives and risk analysis.
