    Abstract
This paper presents an academic literature review of the use of RFID and NFC technologies for AAL communications and also proposes a new original system of the use of NFC in health. The new system proposed consists of 2 modules, one for high risk patients and other for emergency services. There is very little research done in RFID and NFC applied to AAL compared to other application fields and the most researched applications are monitoring systems and tools for medication control and prescription
